Gwenzilla: Thank you for sharing your photo and bringing back fond memory of the eternal city, la Città eterna – Roma. Here are some additional comments/info.
1. Geographically located in Italy, the Vatican is actually a city state (Stato della Città del Vaticano).
2. As mentioned above, there is a giant bronze pine cone (pigna) – I mistook it for an acorn – under the arch of the Museo Chiaramonti (which is part of the Vatican museums).
3. The silver ball, which sits in the pine cone courtyard (Cortile della Pigna) is called “Sphere Within Sphere” (Sfera con Sfera), a masterpiece by Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro.
My guess: It is a museum in Italy and under the arch of the building there is a big acorn, or a pine cone (view blocked by the silver ball).
I know this one. It’s Vatican.
Hevangel,
我當你啱啦,係Vatican Museum!!
Haricot,
Vatican 是在Italy入面,但Vatican自己其實是一個city嚟架!
